About Me

I have been taking pictures for about 20 years, although most of the photographs in this gallery are since 2004, when I switched to digital.

In years before, I won The Indy (young Independent) Photographry Competition (at age 14?); at university I was photo-editor of Varsity for two years and shot posters for several stage productions.

Later I was a Ship's Photographer on The Splendour of the Seas.

Photographically I admire the work of James Nachtwey, who has a fantastic eye: his pictures are informative and beautiful.

I also love the paintings of van Ruysdael for the way they draw you in and make you want to explore.
